Shabbat Tetzaveh – 5781

The Eruv is UP.

The eruv is sponsored this week by Mrs. Ellen Grabie and family in memory of her mother, Rochel bas Shmuel Chaim Halevi (Rachel Oberman), A”H, for her 7th Yahrzeit, 17th of Adar.

The eruv is also sponsored this Shabbos by Howard & Marni Witkin in the memory of Marni’s father, Sidney Z. Litwack, Shmuel Zanville ben Meir Zelig, for whom the Eruv is also dedicated.  He designed and sketched all of the required engineering drawings for fence posts, footers, connectors, lines etc.  His generous commitment of time, wisdom, and artistic input were responsible for the permit submissions that led to our original approval from the state and federal regulatory agencies.  His designs have since been used in Eruvs around the country. His 8th Yahrzeit was 2 Adar.  May his Neshama have an Aliyah.

The Eruv is Up.

This week, the eruv is sponsored by Mr. and Dr. Aharon Cooper in honor of the bar mitzvah of Simcha Cooper.  Mazal tov!

When we were designing he Los Angeles Eruv, we turned to my father in law, Sidney Z. Litwack – Shmuel Zanville ben Meir Zelig.  – for assistance.  He designed and sketched all of the required engineering drawings for fence posts, footers, connectors, lines etc.  His generous commitment of time, wisdom, and artistic input were responsible for the permit submissions that led to our original approval from the state and federal regulatory agencies.  His designs have since been used in Eruvs around the country. The eruv is dedicated in his memory, and sponsored in his honor this Shabbos.  His 6th Yahrzeit is 2 Adar.  May his Neshama have an Aliyah. — Howard Witkin
