This Week’s Eruv Repair Report:

The Eruv has not yet been repaired this week, but we are working on it.

Members of our repair crew are quarantined and can not work.

—

We hired our backup crew to make the fixes last night. Two of their crew members developed symptoms and cancelled.
The company shut down this morning.

Our double secret super backup crew is going now to pick up the truck and make the repairs.

We have gotten permission from the City that we are an essential service and our crews can be out to make repairs. We hope to keep the eruv up for the duration.

—

We’ll keep the community posted.

—

Done we are up.

The Los Angeles Community Eruv (LA Eruv) was built to enhance the experience of Shabbos in our community.

Increased togetherness, better access to shul, additional options for the young and elderly – all are facilitated by an eruv.

Whether there is a reliable eruv is one of the first questions a young family asks about a neighborhood.

Our LA Eruv is one of the few institutions that serves our city’s entire Shabbos-observant community.

We are grateful to have support from a wide spectrum of shuls throughout the city.
