The ERUV is UP

The Eruv is sponsored in honor of Aish Tamid

January 13, 2012

18 Tevet 5772

A Message from our Sponsor:

The Minyan @ Aish Tamid originated three years ago on Shabbos Parshas Shemos with the goal of creating a warm and energetic family friendly Sanctuary where individuals could come together to develop a robust communal connection to Hashem through prayer, song and heartfelt words of encouragement.

As we enter our anniversary Shabbos, we are honored to celebrate with an Erev Shabbos Hachnassas Sefer Torah today, the 18th of Teves, followed by Mincha and a heartzig Carlbach Kabbalas Shabbos led by Yaakov Rosenblatt and Divrei Chizzuk from our Rav, R’ Yeshayahu Shalom Kestenbaum.

This Sefer Torah was commissioned by Lou and Trudy Kestenbaum in 1995 on the occasion of their 50th anniversary and in loving memory of both of their parents. The Torah has been in continuous use ever since.

This shabbos commemorates the yurtzeit of Mrs. Trudy Kestenbaum (19th Teves 2010) and the yurtzeit of her great grandfather’s great grandfather R’ Tzvi Elimeilech Shapira of Dinov, the Bnei Yisaschar (18thTeves 1840).

May the merit of the continued use of this Sefer Torah at its new location bring the highest Aliyah to their Neshamos.

Please bring your children and join us Erev Shabbos, in one hour at 4:15pm, (30 minutes before Shabbos) to honor the Sefer Torah and celebrate as it arrives to the Minyan at Aish Tamid 5909 W. 3rd St. A little mezonos, a little l’chaim and a lot of simcha as we bring in Shabbos in a truly unique and inspirational way.
