Parshat Vayera – the Eruv is UP

November 5, 2011 : 1:16 am

The ERUV is UP

by anonymous

in thanks for maintaining the eruv for years, week in week out.
in realization of how much we enjoy the eruv
in realization that my shabbos in enhanced by the eruv, and less pleasant without an eruv
in recognition of how much we really receive for so little
in gratitude to all those who help support it along with me so we can all enjoy shabbos more

I ask my community, friends, and family to each do their little bit to support the eruv

with gratitude,

Parshat Lech-Lecha – the Eruv is UP

November 3, 2011 : 5:21 pm

The ERUV is UP

Thank you to the crew, and contractors who worked so hard this week to restore the Eruv for the community.

Thank you to those families who stepped forward with contributions this week towards the costs of repairs and maintenance.

Thank you to those Shuls who are so reliable in collecting and submitting dues from their members.  We wouldn’t have an Eruv without you.

Please remember to check eruv status each week before carrying on Shabbos.

Two additional ways to be kept up to date:

  • Add yourself to the Los Angeles Eruv status email list: http:/www.laeruv.com/subscribe

  • On Facebook, look for “Los Angeles Eruv” and request to be added to the group.  It is a closed group where only members will know that you belong.

  • Please remind your eruv-using friends to subscribe to the email list.

Please pay your dues if you have not already.  This unexpected expense is costly.

Please check with your Shul Rav or President to verify that your shul has sent in member dues.

Parshat Noach — the Eruv is DOWN for Shabbos

October 23, 2011 : 2:13 pm

The ERUV is DOWN

The Eruv is DOWN, and will not be up for Shabbos. We are looking at solutions for next week, but might need to install or rent about 1/2 mile of temporary fencing. We’ll let you know monday. We’ll either need cash donations, or a contractor with materials and crew to get it done.
